The hotels in the midst of an upgrade, which was not on the website or at least I didn’t see it so I was very disappointed, but the hotel has a great location and a huge upside once it’s upgraded

Nice hotel, but currently going under renovations. Close to downtown and restaurants.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years. It's in a really convenient location to the beach and shops around the lighthouse. The rooms are nice enough, beds comfortable. Rooms have a fridge. Only 2 things, noise of guests in rooms above.. Not really the hotels fault but almost every time I stay on a lower floor I have delt with this. The noise of the air conditioner unit, Its crazy loud but can drown out the noisy guests above..... So I suppose, it's really only one issue.....

The hotel and the room were very clean for the most part. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I slept like a king! I would recommend that when you make your reservation to call the hotel directly because I found they were more human than some online third-party and they were more open to negotiation. I got a two room suite with two queen beds With a view facing the lighthouse for basically $150 a night before all the bells, whistles, fees and taxes were added. Normally that room goes for over $200 a night. The staff were all very friendly, each and everyone of them we met , From the people behind the desk to the hotel cleaners. I do have one thing I need to bring up, some attention needs to be addressed at least in the room we were in because these little things distracted from the overall ambience and immediately drew our attention, such as the huge air vents they have in the ceiling Seemed a bit dirty and corroded. And the yellow mustard colored paint on some parts of the walls in the room especially up near the ceilings could do with a big touchup. The couch and cushioned chairs definitely needs to be replaced because it's so old and worn out and has been used by so many people that the pattern and parts of the couch have been literally worn off by all their sweaty backs and butts and it's all faded. Kind of gross to think about sitting on it. The odd thing is that I've read other reviews mostly highlighting the worn out and outdated furniture and I've seen where management thank the people for bringing it to their attention but obviously nothing has been done about it yet. Not sure what they're waiting for because a smart business would realize that part of their profit is banking on return clientele but if nobody wants to come back then they're losing a lot of money. I think it would be worth the investment to update the furniture in these rooms because I think they're losing more money in revenue than they're gaining by keeping the money instead of getting new furniture. They might want to reconsider redoing their ceilings of the rooms. It looks like that outdated 80's passé Popcorn drop-down panel ceiling. It kind of took away from the charm of the rest of the room, but overall it was very clean. No complaints and I would definitely stay there again. Also when we had the TV off you could hear the people upstairs on the third floor talking loudly or moving about. Not sure if it was coming through the air vent in the ceiling or straight through the ceiling And of course, depending on what you're looking for, it's right in the middle of the action where all the shops in the majority of the restaurants are so you can pretty much walk to where you want, including the pier. That is if you'd like to watch people fish! Of course the location can be a double edged sword because although we were not there at peak season, I could see in the height of tourist season that it must be continually very loud outside with everybody going to and from all the bars, plus there seems to be a constant stream of Harleys rumbling in and out on the street outside. But that's not the hotel fault, that's just something to consider if you want to pick the location

I just want to say Robert really went above and beyond for me and my family, he REALLY made sure we had Everything we needed during our stay ,Even came up and adjusted our TV for us , Thanks ROBERT!!

Looking forward to seeing the remodel finished. Great location. Great potential. Color change was a great decision. Rooms have plenty of space to redesign to today's expectations. Furniture change as each floor is remodel would help. Better kitchenettes would as well. Maybe an electric heater for pool as well. Thank you for a good price during construction. My wife and I will definitely be back.

Staff was friendly and the place was clean. I always wonder why hotels can be so sloppy with repairs though. Our room used to have all higher end reveal lay in ceiling tiles but apparently they had some leaks and replaced one by one with the cheap ones. I mean, just change them all of you are going to switch and if you need to fix drywall then sand to a feathered edge with the rest of the wall before painting. Water pressure was a bit low as well.

Location is amazing! Robert and Tru went out of their way to make sure our stay was amazing. We will definitely be returning soon.
